March 2011: "Newly elected premier Christy Clark." I would take issue with this wording Stacey. Not to be a prick or anything, but Christy Clark was elected leader of the BC Liberals by BC Liberal members, and therefore became the premier by default. By wording it the way you have, to someone who doesn't follow along the way most of us do, it makes it sound like she actually won a provincial election and would have the mandate to be the hypocritical typical BC Fiberal, when in fact she hasn't. That's not to say that she shouldn't call an election and run on her stance on the HST. To me that's true accountability. Have the courage of your convictions to actually stand behind this BS policy. Make your MLAs go out and campaign on it. That I would love to see. But sadly, because the Stanley Cup playoffs are almost over, and there are very few limited photo ops of Christy in a canuck jersey and heels shilling to the public left to be had, she's going to do the typical liberal thing and shove the HST straight down our throats.

I've never ever seen a provincial government so badly mishandle an issue of public policy. No matter who the leader, Campbell or Clark, they continue to play hopscotch in the minefield, and find every way to blow their legs off. And if they can't find a way to do it, they make one up. Truly mind blowing.
