BC Rail scandal continues for the people of BC

Almost it seems as if to add financial insult to financial injury inflicted on the people of BC, the BC Liberals continue to assualt the good sense of the BC taxpayer with their handling of the BC Rail situation. Six years after privatizing the BC Rail system, after explicitly promising not to privatise the system, the chief executive officer and the president of BC Rail continue to be paid salaries in the $450,000 to $500,000 range. This for a railway with less than 40 kilometres of track in suburban Vancouver and no trains to run on those tracks.
As John Horgan, New Democrat transportation critic puts it; “Six years ago they privatized B.C. Rail, but they continued to pay the chief executive officer and the president $500,000 a year to run zero trains on 40 kilometres of track. Now they may have a miniature train set in the board room, but you’ve got four chief executive officers making $1.2 million with no trains.”
Well, the salary of $500,000 paid to the CEO, is probably because, he knows too much about the corruption in the sale of the BCR, so, they had to grease his palms to keep him quiet. Sort of like the, deal with the aboriginal band, bribed not to hinder the sale of our hydro to “private friends” of Campbell’s. There is a rumor, the theft of the BCR by Campbell, has a chance for an aquittal. How much more corruption do we citizens have to put up with. Harper will control the judicial system, in regards to Campbell. Harper is protecting Campbell, he is relying on Gordo to finish his dirty work of, cutting, slashing, thieving, and Harper needs Campbell to push the HST (Harper’s Sales Tax), so he gets more billions in his coffers, I mean what in the hell do either of them care about the citizens of this country. We are just cannon fodder, after all. We pay all the corruption bills, that’s what we are used for. The corruption in this country is the fault of governing officials, that’s how corruption got a foot hold, is corrupt governments, and nothing has changed.
